The installations at the Posada Ignatius are unique.

Not only will you be impressed by the 15th century entrance and its mosaic floor that leads you gently up the original stairs into the Posada Ignatius. The Posada has been painstakingly renovated and perfectly blends the building's history and heritage whilst subletly adding contemporary twists.

The solid beams intertwine with the natural light that floods in through the rooflight and the exposed stonework of Navarrete's defensive wall in what was the Duke of Najeras seat of power in the days of the Catholic Kings and Carlos I.

The wall leads us to the open staircase that gently takes us down to the jewel in the crown of the Posada. Hidden below are the breathtaking wine cellars. The exquisite renovation has rediscovered all the remnants of the full wine making process in medieval times, including the grape pressing area and the subterrenean cellars.

The subtle lighting and captavating atmosphere make it the perfect space for wine tasting sessions, small intimate events & dinners, as well as presentations, launches and business meetings.

    The Pension Posada Ignatius is housed in the Palace of The Duke of Nájera on the Plaza del Arco (Arch Square) which was the western entrance to the old walled town. The arch was also the location of the Royal Jail. If you look to the right of the entrance you will see the old town wall which continues into the main entrance.
